Where to Begin?
Nutrition must be tailored to the individual needs of both the pet and their family. Factors such as time, budget, medical history, and unique physiological differences mean that a diet that works well for one animal may be unsuitable for another. Our Nutrition Counseling services provide structured, personalized support over the course of several weeks to months, ensuring your pet receives a tailored wellness plan for their specific needs.
Each case begins with a 25-minute phone consultation ($40, bookable below). During this call, we review your pet’s history, current diet, medications, and supplements to determine whether our Nutrition Counseling program is the right fit for your pet's needs. Based on this discussion, you will receive recommended plan options. For pets in good health, this may involve identifying high-quality commercial foods or guidance on making balanced food at home following our custom & complete recipes. For pets with conditions such as allergies, gastrointestinal issues, Hyperuricosuria (HUA), or IBD, a more comprehensive approach is developed. If needed, additional diagnostics may be requested through your veterinarian to ensure accuracy and safety. We require complete medical records for every pet, as these are used to customize each plan.
After selecting your Nutrition Counseling Plan, you will receive an invoice and online intake forms. Once these are completed, we begin formulating your pet’s customized nutrition plan and schedule your next appointment (45–90 minutes). During this in-depth session, we review the fundamentals of the pet food industry, including AAFCO and FDA oversight, the nutritional requirements of your pet, and how diet influences both health and behavior. We then present your pet’s individualized wellness plan, which includes written instructions, a detailed shopping list, supplement guidance (if applicable), resources, and educational materials.
Following the delivery of your plan, you will receive ongoing support through scheduled email check-ins and phone calls—depending on your selected package—to help ensure your pet transitions smoothly and remains on the right track.
Your pets diet can either be aiding them by supporting all bodily functions and warding off illness, or it could be causing inflammation and stress. Much like with our own nutrition, fresher and minimally processed food is best for overall health and wellness. However, our food has stricter regulations put in place to ensure quality. Conventional Pet Food is sorely lacking in regulation and quality assurance. It is said that most kibbles are more processed than human-snack foods… and you would not expect to thrive off of solely chips and cookies, so why do we expect them to?

Your pets gut is home to billions of tiny microorganisms that make-up the Gut Microbiome. This gut flora has a hand in nearly EVERY bodily function. It makes up 80% of Immune Function, is responsible for hormone production and control and digestion. Unfortunately, it’s also fragile, and can be thrown out of balance by; poor diet, antibiotics, medications, etc. Antibiotics and Medications are sometimes necessary, but often overused and the Gut Microbiome can take up to two years to repopulate on it’s own, and with it being the power house for many bodily functions it’s vitally important to support it with proper diet.
