There is no single "best" diet for every pet—only the diet that is best for your pet.

Whether you’re looking to address a health concern such as IBD, allergies, dermatitis, chronic ear infections, HUA, pancreatitis, liver disease, CKD, or another complex condition—or you simply want to learn how to feed your pet a fresh, balanced diet—we are here to guide and support you so you can feel confident you’re making the right choice for your pet.

Every recommendation begins with understanding your pet

Our Nutrition Counseling plans are fully customized to meet the specific needs of both you and your pet. Each case receives extensive time, expert attention, and ongoing support—often over the course of several weeks to months.

Meet your Pet’s Nutritionist

Autumn is a Certified Canine and Feline Nutritionist with nearly a decade of professional experience in the pet industry and more than nine years of dedicated nutrition counseling. She earned her certification through the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies and is formally trained in diet formulation, food therapy, and disease-management nutrition.

Autumn specializes in creating complete and balanced, biologically appropriate recipes using whole-food ingredients for both healthy pets and those with complex health conditions. She also educates pet owners on safe home-prepared feeding practices and how to responsibly monitor their pets’ health with regular veterinary care. Her training is enriched by the unique opportunity to have studied under a diverse range of conventional, integrative, and holistic veterinary practitioners, as well as Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionists.

Throughout her career, Autumn has supported thousands of pet parents—whether by identifying high-quality commercial diets from reputable brands or by developing custom recipes tailored to a pet’s specific medical needs. Her background in the Pet Food Industry gives her an informed perspective on the challenges of navigating an often under-regulated and confusing marketplace. With this insight, Autumn’s goal is to empower pet owners with clear, targeted guidance and to help improve the long-term health and quality of life of their companions.

Every nutrition and wellness plan is developed around your pet's complete health picture—not just a diagnosis. Rather than relying on generalized feeding recommendations, Autumn carefully evaluates your pet's medical history, laboratory findings, current medications, lifestyle, previous diet history, and individual goals to create a truly personalized approach.

Her greatest passion lies in working with medically complex cases, including pets with multiple concurrent conditions, where nutritional recommendations may appear to conflict. By thoughtfully balancing conventional clinical nutrition science with whole-food nutrition and integrative eastern food therapy principles, each plan is designed to be both clinically appropriate and holistically supportive.

Where to Begin?

Nutrition must be tailored to the individual needs of both the pet and their family. Factors such as time, budget, medical history, and unique physiological differences mean that a diet that works well for one animal may be unsuitable for another. Our Nutrition Counseling services provide structured, personalized support over the course of several weeks to months, ensuring your pet receives a tailored wellness plan for their specific needs.

Each case begins with a 25-minute phone consultation ($40, bookable below). During this call, we review your pet’s history, current diet, medications, and supplements to determine whether our Nutrition Counseling program is the right fit for your pet's needs. Based on this discussion, you will receive recommended plan options. For pets in good health, this may involve identifying high-quality commercial foods or guidance on making balanced food at home following our custom & complete recipes. For pets with conditions such as allergies, gastrointestinal issues, Hyperuricosuria (HUA), or IBD, a more comprehensive approach is developed. If needed, additional diagnostics may be requested through your veterinarian to ensure accuracy and safety. We require complete medical records for every pet, as these are used to customize each plan.

First, you'll receive an invoice and online intake forms. Once completed, we begin our comprehensive review of your pet's case and formulate their personalized nutrition plan before scheduling your 45–60 minute plan presentation. During this in-depth appointment, we'll walk you through your pet's nutritional needs, explain the reasoning behind every recommendation, and show you exactly how to confidently implement their plan. You'll receive a comprehensive nutrition and wellness roadmap, including complete feeding instructions, individualized recipes or diet options, supplement recommendations, transition guidance, a detailed shopping list, educational resources, and practical implementation tips. Every recommendation is thoroughly explained during your appointment and provided in writing, giving you a valuable resource to reference throughout your journey or share with your pet's veterinary team.

Our support doesn't end once your plan is delivered. Through scheduled email check-ins and phone consultations, we'll continue to monitor your pet's progress, provide guidance as they transition, and make evidence-informed adjustments when appropriate to ensure their nutrition plan continues to support their individual needs.

Nutrition influences every system in the body, which is why we take such a comprehensive approach when developing your pet's plan.
